Star of Texas (Hibiscus coccineus)10 seeds Hardy in zones 6-10 Also known as a swamp mallow. It requires wet soils. I grow it in large pots and water it every few days. Here in South Carolina it withstood temps as low as the teens. The abundant 8-10" flowers are a favorite of my tortoises. The leaves are also edible.
